Working with my original
creations, music
and games from around the world and time-honoured
favourites
in rhyme and song, CircleSingers explore distinctions in
sound and rhythm, learn about
language and share stories and ideas.
For those of us who know nothing of the basic
concepts of music, we find the opportunity to explore these new ideas
both intellectually and experientially...
Working with a wide variety songs, chants,
stories and games created and collected by jennielea; rhythm
instruments including, shakers (maracas), lummi sticks, jingles and
drums and a wide variety of toys and storybooks we explore the basic
concepts of music, movement, storytelling and dramatic play. We come
together to learn by playing, build confidence by mastering skills and
create through experimentation.
For
those of us who have been playing with music a long time, we can
revisit the basics and, through play, take old ideas down new roads. All
while adding value and helping to make it that much more fun for those
taking their first steps!
With the
information you and your children provide and the help of jennielea!, we take it one step further and learn everything we can about
anything we can think up, all the while finding ways to celebrate it all
with song and dance.
